Auto redial inside a calling CRM

Auto redial app that calls unanswered and dropped numbers again for you

An auto redial app calls a number again by itself when the first attempt is not answered, so nobody has to keep tapping redial on a busy line.

AutoDial CRM puts redial inside its auto dialer, with 1 to 3 retries, your own ring limit and every attempt saved on the lead.

  • Retry unanswered numbers right away, after a set time or after the list
  • One-number redial with the tries and gap you pick
  • Calls the network cuts before ringing dialled again up to 2 times

What is an auto redial app?

An auto redial app is a phone tool that dials a number again on its own after a call goes unanswered, until the tries you allowed are used up. AutoDial CRM builds auto redial into its auto dialer, so every retry belongs to a lead with a status and remarks.

Most auto redial apps on Google Play do one job: keep calling a single busy number. AutoDial CRM treats redial as one part of a business calling day. In an auto dialer session, a number that does not answer can be tried again 1, 2 or 3 times, and you decide when: straight away, after an interval you choose, or when every other number has had its turn. For a single important number, one-number redial calls it with the count of tries and the gap you pick. A ring limit ends calls that ring for too long. If the network drops the line before the other phone rings, a fresh attempt starts by itself, up to 2 times, before the lead is marked not reached. Calls leave from your own SIM, or go over WhatsApp up to a daily limit. Every detail here follows AutoDial CRM’s feature list of 14 October 2026. Everything else the dialer does, from list sessions to WhatsApp calling, is covered in the auto dialer app overview.

Auto redial app benefits

  • More people reached

Numbers that did not pick up get up to 3 more tries without anyone tapping redial.

  • Retry timing you choose

Call back right away, after a set time, or when the list is finished.

  • Network drops recovered

A call cut before it rings is dialled again, up to twice, instead of being written off.

  • Context on every retry

Each attempt sits on the lead next to its status and last remark.

  • One pace for the team

An admin can fix the gap between calls for everyone, so nobody races or stalls.

Auto redial app settings: tries, gap and ring limit

Six settings decide how the redial behaves. Each is set once and then applies to every session until you change it.

  • Retries: every unanswered number can be tried 1, 2 or 3 more times
  • Retry timing: immediately, after a set time, or after the last number on the list
  • Ring limit: how long an unanswered call rings before it is ended and the session moves on
  • Gap between calls: the pause between one call ending and the next starting, which an admin can lock
  • Minimum call length: how long a call has to last before the lead counts as done
  • One-number redial: a single number called again and again, with your own count of tries and gap

Retry timing matters more than people expect. Retrying straight away suits a number that was engaged for a moment. Waiting a set time suits a person who is likely in a meeting. Retrying after the list gives everyone else a turn first, so a slow pickup does not hold up the session.

Auto redial app for a whole calling list

A redial utility usually holds one number. The redial in AutoDial CRM works on whatever you choose to dial: a saved lead filter, a file you imported, recent numbers from your call history, leads assigned to you, or today’s due follow-ups. Progress stays visible through the session, and skip, pause and stop work from every screen.

When a call connects, two taps on the after-call sheet record how it went, a remark and when to follow up, and the dialer carries on. When it does not connect, the number waits for its next try according to your retry timing. Leads you finish in a session land in the Done tab, where you can see how each one was completed. If you mainly need to call a spreadsheet of numbers, the bulk calling app page covers importing the file. A person who answers and says “call me on Thursday” is better served by an alarm from the follow-up reminder app than by another redial.

Auto redial app for Android: dropped calls and short pickups

On Android, AutoDial CRM can replace the default phone app, so redials go out from the SIM you chose for business calls and appear in the normal call history. Two situations are handled apart from ordinary no-answers:

  • Dropped before ringing: when the network cuts a call before the other phone rings, the app dials it again by itself, up to 2 times, before the lead is marked not reached, so a patchy connection does not lose the lead.
  • Picked up, then gone: a minimum call length stops a call of a second or two from marking the lead as done, so it stays open for a proper conversation.

The same dialer can also run a list over WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business in place of the SIM. It saves the list to contacts first, and when a lead has no WhatsApp account you decide between a normal SIM call and skipping that number. WhatsApp calling has a daily limit, 20 by default, which you can change.

Automatic redial app vs the phone’s redial button

An automatic redial app is worth installing only if it saves more than a tap. This table compares redial in AutoDial CRM with the redial button every phone already has.

Auto redial app setup

  1. Download AutoDial CRM to your Android handset; the guided setup then turns it into the default phone app.
  2. Set the default SIM for business calls, if the phone has two.
  3. In the auto dialer settings, choose 1 to 3 retries, the retry timing, the ring limit, the gap between calls and the minimum call length.
  4. Pick what to dial: a lead filter, an imported list, the call log, assigned leads or today’s follow-ups, and start the session.
  5. Log each connected call on the after-call sheet, and check the Done tab when the session ends.

For a single number, use one-number redial and set the tries and gap for that call alone.

Auto redial app limits

If you only want to get through to one busy helpline or ticket line, a small redial utility or your phone’s own redial button is enough, and a calling CRM is more than you need. List redials stop at 3 retries, and network-drop redials at 2, by design. WhatsApp calling has a daily limit. The app does not play recorded messages; a person talks on every call. This page describes redial on Android. The iPhone version has every feature but one (access to the phone’s call log), and redial behaviour there should be checked with support before a team relies on it. Rules on calling the same person repeatedly differ between countries such as the UK, the US and India, so read the calling rules where you work before any campaign (general information, not legal advice).

Auto redial app example

An illustration, not a named customer. A travel agency in Dhaka, Bangladesh, collects 150 enquiries for holiday packages from a Facebook campaign over one weekend. On Monday the sales executive filters leads by the Facebook source, sets 2 retries after the list, a 30-second ring limit and a 5-second gap that the owner has locked. The first pass reaches 60 people. The redial rounds reach 45 more, including a handful whose calls the network had dropped before ringing and the app dialled again by itself. By early afternoon 105 of the 150 have spoken to the agency, each with a status such as Package sent or Call back. The other 45 are given follow-ups for Wednesday morning instead of a fourth try the same day.

FAQ

Auto redial app FAQ

  1. What is an auto redial app used for?

It is used to reach people who did not pick up the first time, without dialing them again by hand. Businesses use one to work through enquiry lists, while individuals often use a simple redial utility to get through to a busy helpline.

  2. What is the best auto redial app for sales calls?

The best auto redial app for sales calls retries a whole list, not one number, and saves what happened on each call. AutoDial CRM does this inside its auto dialer, with 1 to 3 retries, a ring limit and the outcome logged to every lead.

  3. Is AutoDial CRM an auto redial app?

Yes. AutoDial CRM is an auto redial app built into a calling CRM: its auto dialer tries unanswered numbers again, offers one-number redial with your own tries and gap, and redials calls the network drops.

  4. Is there an auto redial app for Android?

Yes, several, from single-number redial utilities to full calling apps. AutoDial CRM runs on Android as the phone app, so its redials go out from your own SIM and land in the normal call history.

  5. Is a free auto redial app good enough for business calls?

Sometimes, if you only need to reach one busy number now and then. For a list of leads you also need notes, statuses and a shared view of who was reached, which simple redial tools are not built for; AutoDial CRM is free to install, with paid use priced per user.

  6. How many times will the app redial a number?

On a calling list, up to 3 more times, and you pick 1, 2 or 3. With one-number redial you choose the number of tries and the gap yourself, and if the network cuts a call before it rings, that call gets up to 2 extra attempts of its own.

  7. What happens when the network drops a call before it rings?

It is dialled again automatically, up to 2 times. Only after those attempts fail is the lead treated as not reached, so a weak signal does not cost you a contact.

  8. Can I choose how long a number rings before the app moves on?

Yes. Set a ring limit for unanswered calls, and any call that rings past it is ended so the session can continue to the next number or the next retry.

  9. Can an admin lock the gap between calls for the whole team?

Yes. The gap between calls is adjustable, and an admin can lock it so every telecaller dials at the same pace instead of rushing or stalling.

  10. Can a very short call mark a lead as done?

No, not if you set a minimum call length. A call shorter than that limit does not mark the lead as done, so a pickup followed by an instant hang-up does not close it.

  11. Can I redial a single number without starting a list?

Yes. One-number redial keeps calling just that number, with the number of tries and the gap between them that you pick, so there is no need to build a list for one busy line.

  12. How many redials are too many for a customer?

For most business calls, more than 3 retries in one session starts to feel like pressure. AutoDial CRM caps list redials at 3 and lets you space them out, after a set time or after the list.

  13. How is an auto redial app different from the redial button on my phone?

The redial button calls only the last number, and only when you press it. An auto redial app decides when to try again by itself, can cover a whole list and, in AutoDial CRM, records the outcome of every attempt.

  14. Does the auto redial app work for WhatsApp calls?

Not confirmed: AutoDial CRM's feature list does not say that redial retries apply to WhatsApp calls, so check with support before a team relies on it. What is listed is that the auto dialer can call a list over WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business instead of the SIM, with a daily limit of 20 calls by default that you can change.

  15. How much does an auto redial app cost with AutoDial CRM?

AutoDial CRM costs ₹299 per user a month billed every 3 months (₹897), or ₹199 per user a month billed yearly (₹2,388). In US dollars that is $3.79 or $2.79 per user a month.
