What is a call management app?
Put simply, a call management app is a phone app that replaces the built-in dialer and adds ways to sort, return, identify and block calls. AutoDial CRM is a call management app for Android that becomes the default phone app and links each call to your leads and clients.
AutoDial CRM takes the dialer role on an Android phone, so placing a call, opening a contact and scrolling the history work the way they did with the stock phone app. What changes is everything around each call. Typing on the keypad searches contacts and leads together. An incoming call takes over the whole display with who is calling, where that lead stands and the latest note, even over the lock screen. The call log can be narrowed to missed, incoming, outgoing, connected, rejected, blocked or spam calls, to unique numbers, to paid clients or to lost leads. A missed call leaves a notification that calls back on the SIM you pick or opens WhatsApp. An unknown number is first looked up in the leads, clients and contacts you already hold, with online lookup as an optional extra, and anything other people have marked as spam carries a warning while it is still ringing. Every feature named here matches the product’s published feature list as of 14 October 2026.
The same app also dials whole lists for you as an auto dialer app, but nothing on this page needs that: it is about the phone app you use for every call.

Call management app for Android: dialer, keypad and call screen
On first launch, a guided setup asks Android to make AutoDial CRM the default phone app, along with notification and alarm permissions. From then on it handles every call.
- Keypad: start typing digits or a name and matching contacts and leads appear together, so a lead saved only in the CRM is as easy to reach as a phone contact.
- Contacts: every contact carries call, WhatsApp and SMS actions, and WhatsApp voice or video calls start from the same sheet.
- Dual SIM: pick a SIM call by call, or make one SIM the business default. The history labels each call with the SIM it really used, older Android versions included.
- Call types: certain handset brands record call directions (in, out, missed) using codes of their own. The app learns those codes automatically, so a missed call is never filed as an outgoing one.
- International numbers: numbers are shown and dialled in a sensible international format, which helps when customers call from abroad.
- Call screen: the full-screen view shows name, status and last remark over the lock screen, and the lead record opens without hanging up. When a colleague needs to join, dial them as a second call and merge both lines into a conference.
If your team would rather keep the phone’s own dialer, CRM team mode leaves that dialer in charge of calls and simply pops up the after-call sheet when each one ends.
Call management app: call log filters and missed calls
A long call history is only useful if you can ask it a question. The call log in AutoDial CRM answers ten of them:
- Missed, incoming, outgoing: the basic directions, for a quick look back at the day.
- Connected and rejected: calls that were really answered, and calls someone turned down.
- Blocked and spam: what your block list and the spam checks kept away.
- Unique numbers: every number counted once, however often it rang.
- Paid clients: your paying customers’ calls, kept apart from enquiries.
- Lost leads: numbers you called whose calls never ran longer than the limit you set (60, 30 or 0 seconds).
This log also holds WhatsApp, Google Meet and Zoom calls, listed beside ordinary SIM calls. For each missed call, a notification lets you ring back on whichever SIM you choose, or switch to WhatsApp for times when a message works better. When you switch the option on, every first-time caller is stored in your contacts 60 seconds later, their name starting with your chosen prefix, so a stranger today is a named caller tomorrow. For backing the history up, restoring it on a new phone and keeping it for years, see the call history manager page.
Phone call management app: caller ID, spam and blocking
A phone call management app earns its place the moment the phone rings with a number you do not recognise. AutoDial CRM looks in your own records before anywhere else, so a customer who has not been saved as a contact is still named from the CRM. For numbers it cannot find, an online lookup can be switched on if you want it.
Reports from other users mark a number as spam while it is still ringing. You can report a number yourself and set your own report threshold, which decides how many reports it takes before a number is treated as spam. Blocking and unblocking happen in one place, so a number blocked by mistake is easy to restore. One rule protects the business: saved leads and clients always ring through, whatever the spam settings say.
When another phone app is the default dialer, caller ID still works: the details appear in a notification while the call rings. A self-check notices when caller cards fail to show and jumps to the exact setup step that cures it, and only handsets that require the battery permission are asked for it. Numbers you add to the excluded list are kept out of backup and all automation.

Call management app setup
- Install AutoDial CRM on your Android phone and accept the default phone app role when prompted.
- With two SIMs, either make the work SIM the default for business or choose to pick a SIM per call.
- Decide whether new callers should be saved automatically, and set the name prefix.
- Set your spam report threshold, and exclude any private numbers you do not want backed up.
- Import your customers from Excel, CSV or a Google Sheet so that callers are named from your own records.
- Open the call log, try each filter, and call back the day’s missed calls from there.
Call management app limits
The features on this page depend on Android, where an app can take the phone role and read the call log. On iPhone, Apple does not let apps read call records, which means call log filters and automatic call history are not available there; everything else in the app works on iPhone. Recording is not done by AutoDial CRM: it only collects files that the phone’s built-in recorder has made. Spam flags rest on other users’ reports, so a brand-new spam number may still ring until people report it. If you only want a free dialer with basic spam blocking on a personal phone, the phone’s built-in app may be all you need, since AutoDial CRM is a paid plan per user. For one owner view across a whole team’s phones, the page on call management software is the better fit, and anyone weighing a full CRM built around the dialer can compare a CRM with dialer.
Call management app example
An illustration, not a named customer. The owner of an air-conditioning service company in Cairo, Egypt, runs the business from one dual-SIM Android phone: SIM 1 for family, SIM 2 for customers. In summer the phone takes about 80 calls a day, and missed customer calls used to vanish among spam. He makes AutoDial CRM the phone app, makes SIM 2 the default for work calls and turns on auto-save with the prefix AC, so every new caller becomes a named contact a minute after the call. Each evening he filters the log to missed calls and returns about 15 of them on SIM 2, or sends a WhatsApp when it is late. Before the cooling season he uses the paid clients filter to see which past buyers have already called, and numbers other users reported as spam stay flagged while his saved customers always ring through.

Call management app FAQ
What is call management on my phone?
Call management on a phone means controlling how calls are made, answered, logged, returned and blocked, which is mostly the job of the phone app. A call management app extends that with call log filters, caller ID from your own records and one-tap call-backs.
Which is the best call management app for Android?
For a business phone, the best call management app for Android replaces the dialer without breaking contacts or history and ties every call to a customer, which is what AutoDial CRM does. For a purely personal phone that only needs spam blocking, the phone's built-in app may be enough.
Is AutoDial CRM a call management app?
Yes. AutoDial CRM is a call management app that becomes the Android default dialer, filters the call log ten ways and names callers from your leads and clients. An auto dialer and a lead CRM come in the same app.
Will my calls and contacts still work after switching dialers?
Yes. With AutoDial CRM set as the default phone app, calls, contacts and call history keep working as they did before. Every contact also gains call, WhatsApp and SMS buttons.
Can I switch back to my old phone app later?
Yes. Android lets you choose a different default phone app in its settings whenever you like. If you want the CRM side without changing dialers, AutoDial CRM's team mode runs beside the phone's own app and brings up the after-call sheet as soon as a call is over.
Is the call management app free to download?
Yes, AutoDial CRM is free to download and install. Using the full app is a paid plan per user, from ₹199 a month billed yearly, about $2.79.
Which is the best caller ID app for a business phone?
For a business phone, the best caller ID app names callers from your own customer records first, and AutoDial CRM searches your leads, clients and contacts ahead of any outside source. Online lookup for unknown numbers is optional, and spam reported by other users is flagged before you answer.
Can spam blocking stop a customer's call from ringing?
No. In AutoDial CRM, saved leads and clients always ring through, whatever the spam settings say. You also set your own report threshold, so a number is flagged only after as many reports as you choose.
How do I unblock a number I blocked by mistake?
Open the block list in AutoDial CRM and unblock the number, because blocking and unblocking are kept in one place. Calls from that number then ring as normal.
How do I merge two calls into a conference on Android?
During a call, tap add call, dial the second person, then merge the two calls into one conference. The AutoDial CRM dialer supports both steps, so a three-way call needs no other app.
Can I pick a different SIM for each call?
Yes. On a dual-SIM phone you can choose the SIM every time you call, or set one SIM as the default for business calls. Each entry in the history then names the SIM that carried it.
Does the app save unknown callers as contacts by itself?
Yes, if you turn the option on. AutoDial CRM adds a new caller to your contacts one minute after the call ends, starting the name with a prefix you pick, and the switch can be turned off again at any time.
Can I call back a missed call straight from the notification?
Yes. Tap call back on the missed-call notification and choose which SIM to use, or tap its WhatsApp button if a message suits better than a call.
How much does a call management app cost with AutoDial CRM?
AutoDial CRM costs ₹299 per user a month billed every 3 months (₹897), or ₹199 per user a month billed yearly (₹2,388). In US dollars that is $3.79 or $2.79 per user a month.
Your next call is ringing.
Install AutoDial CRM, import your leads and let the dialer, the WhatsApp and the follow-up alarm do the remembering.
