Call time tracking app for call length rules and monthly trends
A call time tracking app measures how long phone calls last, so a business can tell real conversations from quick hang-ups and see how its calling changes over time.
AutoDial CRM puts call length to work in two rules, a minimum length before a lead counts as done and a lost lead limit, and charts call totals month by month.
- Minimum call length before a lead is marked as done
- Lost lead limit of 60, 30 or 0 seconds
- Call totals and monthly trends for any date range

What is a call time tracking app?
A call time tracking app measures how long calls last, so a team can separate real conversations from hang-ups and see how much calling happens each month. AutoDial CRM applies call length through rules inside its call tracking app, rather than through a talk-time report.
People search this term for three different jobs: timing personal calls, billing clients by the minute, and checking a sales team’s calling. AutoDial CRM only fits the third, and only in part. Call length drives two of its rules. The first is a minimum call length that you choose: a call shorter than that cannot mark a lead as done, so a quick hang-up is not counted as finished work. The second is the lost lead limit of 60, 30 or 0 seconds: any number your team dialled without ever holding the line past it goes onto the lost leads list, once. Around those rules, analytics counts calls by type for any range and charts them month by month. What the 14 October 2026 feature list leaves out is a total of minutes spent talking per employee, and this page does not pretend otherwise.
Call time tracking app benefits
Hang-ups not counted as work
A minimum call length keeps very short calls from closing a lead.
Short calls caught
The lost lead limit lists numbers that never got past a brief hello.
Volume over time
Monthly trends show incoming, outgoing, missed and rejected calls rising or falling.
Any period
Totals switch between today, a week, a month, all time or custom dates.
Honest scope
You know up front that per-employee talk time is not part of the reports.
Call time tracking app: minimum call length
The minimum call length answers one question: did this call really work the lead? Without it, a salesperson could ring a number, hear two words, hang up and mark the lead finished. With it, you pick a length, say 30 or 60 seconds, and any call shorter than that does not count toward marking the lead as done. The rule matters most on assigned leads, where the Done tab records the route to completion, be it a dialer run, a tapped number, a manual close or a handover. Once the length is set, the standard is written into the app, and nobody has to time calls by hand. Teams that call long lists will also want the ring limit, which ends unanswered calls after a set time, described on the auto redial app page.
Call time tracking: the lost lead limit
The second rule looks at calls from the other side. Here, a lost lead means a dialled number whose calls all ended before the cut-off you choose:
- 60 seconds: strict; any call under a minute counts as not really reached
- 30 seconds: a middle setting that ignores voicemail greetings and quick refusals
- 0 seconds: only numbers that never connected at all
Each lost number appears once on the list, however many times it was dialled, so a manager can hand the list back for a second attempt. The analytics screen shows lost leads as their own ring next to the other call types.

Call time tracking app setup
- Load AutoDial CRM onto each salesperson’s Android phone and confirm it as the phone app when setup asks.
- Decide what a real conversation is for your business and set the minimum call length to match.
- Pick the lost lead limit: 60, 30 or 0 seconds.
- Open analytics after the first week and look at connected calls against outgoing calls, then at the lost leads ring.
- Check the monthly trends at the end of each month and hand the lost leads list back for another round.
Call time tracking app limits
AutoDial CRM does not list a talk-time report per employee, per day or per month, and it does not show an average call length. If you pay commission or salary on minutes spent talking, or bill clients by the minute, use a tool built for that, such as a cloud phone system with duration reports or a billable-hours tracker. It does not end connected calls on a timer. Automatic call logging needs Android; the iPhone app has every feature except the phone’s call log. For time at work rather than time on calls, the staff attendance app records hours and breaks per day. The list dialing behind these calls is the auto dialer app.
Call time tracking app example
An illustration, not a named customer. A language school in Panama City, Panama, has 5 advisers who call people who asked about English courses. The director noticed that some leads were marked as done after calls of a few seconds. He sets the minimum call length to 45 seconds and the lost lead limit to 30 seconds. In the first month the lost leads list holds about 250 numbers that never got past a short greeting, and the advisers call them again in the evening, when working adults pick up. Over three months the monthly trends show outgoing calls steady at around 3,000 a month, while the connected ring climbs as the evening callbacks reach more people. For pay based on time, the school keeps using its attendance hours, not minutes on the phone.

Call time tracking app FAQ
What is the best call time tracking app for a sales team?
The most useful one judges whether calls were real work, not just how long they ran. AutoDial CRM does that with a minimum call length before a lead counts as done and a lost lead limit, though it does not list a talk-time report per employee.
Is AutoDial CRM a call time tracking app?
Partly. AutoDial CRM uses call length in its rules and shows call totals and monthly trends, but its feature list does not include total talk time per employee, so it is a call tracking app with call length rules rather than a talk-time report.
Can I pay staff by talk time using AutoDial CRM?
No. Owners see each employee's calls, outcomes and call totals, but a sum of minutes spent talking per person is not in the feature list, so pay based on talk time needs another source such as a phone system report.
How do I check how many hours I spend on calls?
Look at your phone's own call details, which on most phones show how long each call lasted, or at the usage summary from your mobile operator. AutoDial CRM does not add up hours on calls for you.
What is the best phone time tracking app?
It depends on which time you mean: screen time apps measure phone use, billable-hours tools measure work for clients, and calling apps measure calls. For sales calls, AutoDial CRM tracks calls and their outcomes, with call length rules, rather than total phone time.
What is a minimum call length rule?
It is a setting that stops a call shorter than a chosen length from marking a lead as done. In AutoDial CRM you choose the length, so a 4-second hang-up cannot be counted as finished work.
How long must a call last before a number stops being a lost lead?
As long as the limit you choose: 60 seconds, 30 seconds or 0 seconds. Any number your callers reached for but never kept on the line beyond that cut-off shows up once on the lost leads list.
Is there a free call time tracking app?
Yes, there are free call timers and counters for personal use. AutoDial CRM itself installs at no cost, while the team plan with these rules runs ₹199 ($2.79) per person monthly, paid annually.
Can I set a timer to end a call automatically?
Not with AutoDial CRM. It has a ring limit that stops waiting on numbers that do not answer, but it does not cut off a call that is already connected.
Can I bill clients for time spent on calls with this app?
No. AutoDial CRM does not produce billable-time records, so professionals who charge by the minute need a time tracking or billing tool alongside it.
How much does a call time tracking app cost with AutoDial CRM?
AutoDial CRM costs ₹299 per user a month billed every 3 months (₹897), or ₹199 per user a month billed yearly (₹2,388). In US dollars that is $3.79 or $2.79 per user a month.
Your next call is ringing.
Install AutoDial CRM, import your leads and let the dialer, the WhatsApp and the follow-up alarm do the remembering.
