Cold call tracking for prospecting teams

Cold call tracking app for daily dials, connects and lost leads

A cold call tracking app counts the calls a prospecting team makes to new contacts and records what happened on each, so the day's dials turn into numbers you can act on.

AutoDial CRM dials cold lists from your own SIM, saves the outcome of every call and shows dials, connects and lost leads for any day.

  • Dials, connects and lost leads counted for any date range
  • Outcome and next step logged in two taps after each call
  • Every imported list kept apart, so you can compare them

What is a cold call tracking app?

A cold call tracking app records every call a prospecting team makes to new contacts, with its result, so dials, connects and next steps are counted without a tally sheet. AutoDial CRM is a cold call tracking app that also places the calls, and the prospecting side of its call tracking app.

Cold calling is a numbers game only if somebody keeps the numbers. In AutoDial CRM the list itself is the starting point: each file you import, whether a trade directory, an expo sheet or a bought list, becomes its own list with duplicates removed. A dialer session works through it from the caller’s SIM, with a gap you set, a ring limit for numbers that do not pick up and up to 3 redials. After every call the caller picks an outcome and a next step, and the app does the counting. At the end of the day the analytics rings show outgoing and connected calls, rejected calls and lost leads, meaning numbers whose calls never lasted beyond the cut-off you chose: 60, 30 or 0 seconds. Everything above was verified against the app’s features on 14 October 2026.

Cold call tracking app benefits

  • No tally sheets

Each dial is logged as it happens, so the count is never guessed.

  • Connects separated from dials

Outgoing and connected calls are counted apart, which shows real reach.

  • Quick outcomes

Status, remark and follow-up go in with two taps before the next dial.

  • Lists compared fairly

Each imported file stays its own list, so you can see which one pays off.

  • Second chances tracked

Numbers that never connected are kept on one list for another round.

Cold call tracking: a calling session, logged

A cold calling block in AutoDial CRM runs like this:

  1. Pick the list. Choose an imported list, or filter leads by source tag, status or list, and start the auto dialer on it.
  2. Let it dial. The session shows its progress and calls each number in turn from your SIM, and a caller can skip, pause or end the run from whichever screen is open.
  3. Handle no answers. The ring limit ends calls that ring out, unanswered numbers are redialled up to 3 times, and calls the network drops before ringing are tried again by themselves.
  4. Log the result. Hanging up brings a short form: choose Interested, Call back or another status, add a line of notes, set the next date. Voice input fills in names and requirements.
  5. Count the day. Analytics adds the session to today’s rings, and the lost leads list collects the numbers that never connected past your limit.

Cold call tracking software: which list converts

The most useful question in prospecting is which source deserves the next hour of calling. With each imported file kept apart as its own list, you can filter leads by that list and by status, and see how far each list got: how many reached Interested, how many booked a demo, how many became paid clients. Source tags such as Website, Referral or a custom tag like Trade directory add a second way to slice the same leads. The filtered set can then be exported to CSV for the owner. A list that produces many connects but few interested leads is usually a targeting problem, not a calling problem. For the dialing side in more depth, see the bulk calling app, and for a pipeline built around these statuses, the telecalling CRM.

Cold call tracking app setup

  1. Download AutoDial CRM onto every prospector’s Android handset and approve it as the phone’s calling app during setup.
  2. Import each cold list as its own file and check the column mapping.
  3. Create statuses that fit prospecting, for example Interested, Call back, Demo booked, Not interested and Do not call.
  4. Choose the pause between dials, how long to ring, how many redials and the lost lead cut-off.
  5. Run the first session, then open today’s rings and the lost leads list with the team.

Cold call tracking app limits

AutoDial CRM counts calls, outcomes and lost leads; it does not list talk time or average call length reports, and it does not grade the quality of a pitch. It has no built-in conversion-rate report per list, so comparing lists means filtering by list and status yourself. Calls are not recorded by the app, so recordings appear only if the handset’s own recorder made them. Automatic logging needs Android, since iPhones do not expose their call list to apps. If the team dials through desk handsets on a hosted call centre platform, that platform’s reporting suits better. Sales call rules differ between countries such as Senegal, France and the US, so check yours before a campaign (general information, not legal advice). For the whole product, see the auto dialer app.

Cold call tracking app example

An illustration, not a named customer. A company in Dakar, Senegal, sells point-of-sale software to pharmacies and grocery shops, and has 4 callers who prospect every morning. The manager imports two lists: 800 shops from a trade directory and 300 contacts from a retail fair. Each caller runs two dialer sessions a day, with a 30-second lost lead limit. After two weeks the rings show about 4,000 outgoing calls and 1,500 connected. Filtering by list shows the fair contacts produced 45 demos against 30 from the far bigger directory list, so the next month’s calling time shifts toward fair and referral contacts, and the 600 lost leads go into a fresh session at a different time of day.

FAQ

Cold call tracking app FAQ

  1. Which cold call tracking app is best for a small prospecting team?

The best cold call tracking app for a small prospecting team logs every dial by itself, takes the outcome in a couple of taps and counts connects for the day. AutoDial CRM does this on Android while dialing the list for you from your own SIM.

  2. Is AutoDial CRM a cold call tracking app?

Yes. It counts and logs cold calls while its own auto dialer places them: it works through imported cold lists, records each call with its outcome and shows outgoing, connected and lost-lead totals for any day or range.

  3. What is the best app for cold calling?

The best app for cold calling dials the list for you, retries numbers that do not answer and keeps notes on every prospect. AutoDial CRM combines that dialer with call tracking, so the same app that makes the calls also counts them.

  4. Is B2B cold calling illegal?

No, not as a general rule, but many countries set conditions on it. The UK, the US, India and EU countries each have their own rules on sales calls, and some do-not-call registers cover business numbers too, so check your country's rules before you start (general information, not legal advice).

  5. Is there a free cold call tracking app?

Free cold call trackers exist, often as manual counters or spreadsheets. Downloading AutoDial CRM is free; logging a whole prospecting team costs ₹199 per caller a month on an annual plan, about $2.79.

  6. How do I count dials and connects per day?

Open the analytics screen and pick Today. The rings show outgoing and connected calls side by side, along with missed, rejected and lost-lead calls, and tapping a ring lists those exact calls.

  7. How can I tell which cold calling list converts best?

Import each list as its own file, then filter leads by list and by status. Because AutoDial CRM keeps every uploaded file apart, you can see how many leads from each one reached Interested or became paid clients.

  8. Can I log cold call notes without typing?

Yes. Two taps on the sheet that opens after hanging up record the result and the next date, and names and needs can be dictated by voice.

  9. Should I log every cold call in a CRM?

Yes, because unlogged calls get repeated or forgotten. With AutoDial CRM as the dialer, every call is logged automatically, so the only thing a caller adds is the outcome.

  10. Can I track cold calls from a dual-SIM phone?

Yes. Each call is saved with the right SIM name, you can pick a default SIM for business calls, and you decide which SIMs back up, so prospecting on the work SIM is counted while the personal SIM stays private.

  11. How much does a cold call tracking app cost with AutoDial CRM?

AutoDial CRM costs ₹299 per user a month billed every 3 months (₹897), or ₹199 per user a month billed yearly (₹2,388). In US dollars that is $3.79 or $2.79 per user a month.

Your next call is ringing.

Install AutoDial CRM, import your leads and let the dialer, the WhatsApp and the follow-up alarm do the remembering.
