Calls tracked per employee, kept by the business

Employee call tracking app for business SIMs and assigned leads

An employee call tracking app records the work calls each staff member makes and receives, so a manager can see who called which customer and what came of it.

AutoDial CRM files every employee's business calls under the leads assigned to them, so the record stays with the company when people change roles or leave.

  • Each employee gets their own queue of assigned leads
  • Finished leads show how they were completed
  • Transfers and restores keep the call history intact

What is an employee call tracking app?

An employee call tracking app logs the business calls each staff member handles on a work phone and files every call under the right lead. AutoDial CRM is an employee call tracking app for Android, and the per-person side of its call tracking app.

AutoDial CRM tracks employees through the work handed to them rather than through the phone alone. The owner assigns leads to each person, and those leads wait in that employee’s own queue. When the employee rings a lead from the business SIM, the call lands on that lead, and whatever outcome, note and next date the employee picks afterwards are stored with it. A finished lead moves to the Done tab, which shows whether a dialer run, a single tapped call, a manual close or a handover to a colleague finished it. Status changes and edits to each lead travel to the company account, so the record outlives any single phone: an employee who signs in on a new handset gets everything back, and leads moved to someone else keep their transfer trail. Every product fact here was compared with the app on 14 October 2026.

Employee call tracking app benefits

  • Clear ownership

Every lead belongs to one named employee, so nothing is called twice or forgotten.

  • Progress without reports

Pending and Done counts show how far each person got today.

  • Outcome per call

The result chosen after hanging up sits on the lead, not in a notebook.

  • Clean handovers

Transferred leads arrive with their history, so the next person starts informed.

  • Company keeps the data

A lost phone or a resignation does not wipe out months of calls.

Employee call tracking: from assigned lead to finished call

The tracking follows the life of each lead an employee is given:

  1. Assigned. The owner hands a batch of leads to a team member. They appear among that employee’s pending leads, and the whose-lead filter can pull up any one person’s list.
  2. Called. The employee dials from the queue, by tapping a number or by running the auto dialer. While it rings, the screen displays who the lead is, where they stand and the last note left on them.
  3. Updated. Hanging up opens a short sheet: pick the new status, jot a note, choose when to call next.
  4. Finished. A lead marked as done moves to the Done tab with its completion type. A minimum call length chosen in the settings keeps a call of a few seconds from counting as real work.
  5. Moved on. If someone else should take over, the lead is transferred and the move is written into its history.

For a lead pipeline built around these steps, see the lead management app.

Employee call tracking app on business SIMs

Many staff carry one phone with two SIMs: the company line and their own. On a dual-SIM phone the employee can set a default SIM for business calls or pick the SIM for each call, and the owner decides which SIMs back up. Each call in the history carries the correct SIM name, including on older Android versions, so it is clear which line was used. Calls on a SIM that is not backed up never leave the handset. The fuller set of privacy switches, with excluded numbers and working-hours rules, is explained on the employee call monitoring page.

Employee call tracking app setup

  1. Get AutoDial CRM onto every employee’s Android handset, sign each person in to the company account, and let it become the default phone app when prompted.
  2. Choose which SIMs back up, and set the company SIM as the default for business calls.
  3. Import or add your leads, then assign them to employees so each person has a pending queue.
  4. Choose how long a call must last before it can close a lead.
  5. At the end of day one, go through each person’s calls and finished leads together with the team.

Employee call tracking app limits

AutoDial CRM tracks calls through leads and outcomes; it does not list a talk-time total per employee, so if you pay staff by minutes on the phone, use a tool that reports call duration per person. Hands-free logging only happens on Android phones, as the iPhone app has every feature except the phone’s call log. Nobody can listen in live, and recordings exist only when the handset’s built-in recorder saved them, since AutoDial CRM imports rather than records. If your team works mainly on desk phones or a cloud call centre, a telephony system with its own reports is a better fit. Tell employees what is tracked before the app goes on their phones, and check your own country’s rules (general information, not legal advice). Whole-list dialing belongs to the auto dialer app, which runs in the same install.

Employee call tracking app example

An illustration, not a named customer. An office furniture distributor in Santiago, Chile, has 9 sales staff who call companies moving into new offices. The owner used to ask each person for a list of calls every evening, and the lists rarely matched. She imports a sheet of 600 companies, assigns about 65 to each employee and sets a 20-second minimum call length. After two weeks the Done tab shows roughly 400 finished leads, most closed through dialer sessions. When one salesperson leaves at the end of the month, his 40 open leads are transferred to a new hire, who reads the old remarks before the first call and picks up where the conversations stopped.

FAQ

Employee call tracking app FAQ

  1. What is the best employee call tracking app for a small business?

The best employee call tracking app for a small business gives every person a clear list of leads to call and shows the owner what happened on each one, without extra typing. AutoDial CRM does this on Android: it runs as the dialer, saves each business call to the lead and sends the result to the owner's account.

  2. Is AutoDial CRM an employee call tracking app?

Yes. It was built for exactly that job: calls each employee makes on the business SIM are saved against the leads assigned to them, and the owner reviews everyone's call logs from a single account.

  3. What is the best app for employee tracking?

It depends on the work you want to see. For staff who sell or serve customers by phone, a call tracking app shows the work itself; AutoDial CRM adds selfie attendance and working-hours location for field staff in the same app, while desk-based teams usually need computer activity tools instead.

  4. What is the best app for tracking employee time?

For time at work, a staff attendance app with punch in, punch out and breaks is the right tool. AutoDial CRM includes one, with a live selfie check, branch working hours and a monthly report of hours and breaks, but it does not total time spent talking on calls per employee.

  5. How can I track another person's phone calls?

Only with their knowledge, and only for calls that belong to your business. An employee call tracking app such as AutoDial CRM is installed openly on a work phone through a visible setup; tracking someone's private phone in secret is not what it is for and may be unlawful where you live.

  6. Is there a free employee call tracking app?

Yes, some apps have free versions, usually with limits on users or history. AutoDial CRM has no charge to download, and each tracked employee is a paid seat at ₹199 ($2.79) a month when billed yearly.

  7. How do I set up an employee call tracking app on Android?

Download AutoDial CRM on the employee's Android phone, sign them in to the company account and approve it as the phone app when the setup screens ask. Then pick which SIMs back up and give the employee their first leads.

  8. Does an employee call tracking app work on the business SIM?

Yes. Calls go out over the SIM in the employee's phone, and on a dual-SIM phone you can set a default SIM for business calls and choose which SIMs back up, so only the company line reaches the account.

  9. Can each employee get their own list of leads to call?

Yes. The owner assigns leads to a team member, and each person works from a separate pending queue; leads they finish move to the Done tab with the way each was completed.

  10. How do I see which employee a lead is assigned to?

Use the lead filter's whose-lead option. It narrows the list to one employee's leads, and you can combine it with status, tag or source to see, for example, every Interested lead held by one salesperson.

  11. Which employee calls are not tracked?

Calls on a SIM that is switched off for backup, and calls with numbers on the excluded list, are not sent to the account. Optional rules can also leave out calls made outside working hours or calls with people who are not leads or clients.

  12. How much does an employee call tracking app cost with AutoDial CRM?

AutoDial CRM costs ₹299 per user a month billed every 3 months (₹897), or ₹199 per user a month billed yearly (₹2,388). In US dollars that is $3.79 or $2.79 per user a month.

Your next call is ringing.

Install AutoDial CRM, import your leads and let the dialer, the WhatsApp and the follow-up alarm do the remembering.
